The WWE female couples champion, Liv Morgan, is one of the main female superstars in the Stamford -based company today. A former champion recently expressed his desire to return after a decade to share the ring with the member of The Judgment Day.
Layla joined WWE in 2006 after winning the Diva Search competition. He spent nine years in the headquarters in Stamford and held the Women's Championship and the title of Divas. The 47 -year -old woman was also part of the iconic Laycool couples team with the next member of the Hall of Fame, Michelle McCool. However, the star born in London retired from the competition in the ring in 2015.
Since his departure, Layla has not appeared on WWE's television. In a recent interview with Wrestlesonthe former women's champion revealed that he would receive the opportunity to make a return. When asked who would like to face the current generation of women's superstars, the former Laycool member appointed the women's champion Chelsea Green, the female couples champion Liv Morgan and Bianca Belair.
“I would have to say that Chelsea Green for her personality and things like that. Also … I would love to work with Liv Morgan. I think she works great with all the others. I mean, all the girls are phenomenal; all the girls. If I were younger, I would have loved to face Bianca Belair too. But yes, all the girls are incredible. (3: 11-3: 39)
Layla hinted at the ceremony of the WWE Hall of Fame
The former team companion of Layla, Michelle McCool, is scheduled to be induced to the WWE Hall of Fame this year. During the same interview with Wrestlesonthe 47 -year -old woman praised her former partner, stating that she is extremely happy for McCool.
Meanwhile, the former women's champion hinted at the ceremony to witness the historical moment of McCool.
“Well, to start, (I am) extremely happy for Michelle. Very deserved. It was very very. Layla said.
It will be interesting to see if Layla returns to the company based in Stamford this year after a decade of absence.
