Triple HTriple H

Triple H has implemented several changes in WWE programming since it replaced Vince McMahon as the main creative figure of the company in July 2022. In a recent video, the former WWE EC3 star discussed a big difference between the narrative styles of both men.

During the creative mandate of McMahon, dozens of stories revolved around an emerging talent defeating a star established in a moment of torch transfer. One of the last notable examples occurred in 2017 when Roman Reigns beat The Undertaker in Wrestlemania 33.

EC3 appeared in the last episode of The Wrestling Outlaws. By discussing the creative approach of Triple H, the 42 -year -old fighter approached the lack of moments of torch transfer since The Game assumed control.

“I think that some of the best stories in wrestling are always the proverbial transfer of torch, and it seems that you mentioned 'Taker and Roman, but it was not exactly the perfect farewell, and these (moments of transfer of torch) seemed Year or two before, putting someone above in a rivalry of high level and significant with a spectacular combat (means) more. ” (3:14 – 3:55)

EC3 shares the Narrative theory of Vince McMahon in WWE

From 1982 to 2022, Vince McMahon was responsible for the results of the fighting and the development of WWE's stories. In 2014, it ended in a controversial way with the undefeated streak of 21 fighting of The Undertaker in Wrestlemania by programming Brock Lesnar to defeat The Deadman.

According to EC3, McMahon worried more about the direction of the history of the winner than to create a moment of torch transfer:

“Vince McMahon, I think, had a theory with which I did not agree, but what do I know? It seemed that the guy who puts someone above, is not the guy who put on top, but who beats the guy who was put above, which I think was the theory behind the end of the brock and Undertaker streak. (3:56 – 4:16)

EC3 also explained why he believes that fans should “relax” after the last talent cuts generated generalized criticisms on social networks.
