Getting a good contract is generally a happy event for any fighter, either on WWE or elsewhere. However, a particular star apparently faced problems even after signing a lucrative agreement with a professional wrestling brand.

The star in question is EC3, who also worked at WWE. He appeared under the name of Derrick Bateman, facing stars like Drew McIntyre in 2009. After a while outside the company, he returned in 2018, where he faced stars like Dean Ambrose after being promoted to the main roster. Eventually, he arrived in NWA, where he became world champion.

During the last episode of The Wrestling OutlawsEC3 talked about how he felt depressed despite having a guaranteed contract with NWA because he did not feel that he was striving if he had a stable income without consequences.

“Sign an agreement, as with a guarantee that is very fair to me, it depressed me because I thought, Wow, this is all. And it doesn't matter what I do. I mean, personally, I will not take it lightly … I hated it. As if I was literally depressed for receiving a lot of money because I only knew that it was all for that.” (From 10:23 onwards)

The former WWE star also talked about recent rumors

EC3 talked about certain rumors that currently circulate in the professional wrestling community, which allege that the benefits for WWE employees have been reduced.

During the same episode of The Wrestling OutlawsEC3 talked about how exaggerated rumors could be just. He said:

“I do not know if there are meetings outside the place or if they have to present or practice or train, but I cannot imagine that the workload is greater than it used to be considering what the WWE superstars had to happen to be on the road, with how 4 days outside and 2 days at home, just one of them to wash the clothes and unpack your suitcase and maybe sleep. I mean, it sounds like rumors and nonsense. (From 1:15 onwards)

For now, it remains to be seen if these rumors will demonstrate certain in the coming weeks.
