Bray Wyatt often mentioned Sister Abigail throughout his WWE career. In a recent interview, Shelly Martinez revealed that she was once considered a possible candidate to play the mysterious character.
Martinez, known as Ariel, worked for WWE between 2005 and 2007. The 44 -year -old actress is mainly remembered for her presentation as a vampire and her on -screen alliance with Kevin Thorn. It also appeared under the name of Salinas in TNA in 2007 and 2008.
In Ring the BelleMartinez remembered how he played one of Adam Rose's Rosebuds in a non -televised WWE event. He saw Wyatt in the show and discovered that his name had been mentioned in conversations about Sister Abigail:
“I was so intrigued by Bray Wyatt, of course, and this was, I don't even remember what year was, perhaps 2014 or 2015, and this is what he told me,” Martinez said. “He told me: 'Do you know that they have mentioned your name to be Sister Abigail?' He added: 'I am a big fan of what you and Kevin used to do,' and began to praise me, and I was like, 'Are you praising me?!' So I thought, 'Wow, that's crazy.' ”(30:58 – 31:26)
Sister Abigail's identity is still a mystery. Many expected Alexa Bliss to be revealed as the character in 2020 during a story between Braun Strowman and the late Bray Wyatt. However, he ended up forming an alliance with Wyatt.

Determined to cause an impression, Shelly Martinez asked Adam Rose if he could kiss him on the cheek as he acted as Rosebud.
Supposedly, Rose rejected his application because he did not want to get into trouble with the high controls of the WWE.
“I thought, 'Well, maybe this is my opportunity,' So I told the type of Adam Rose, 'oh, I need to be noticed,' and he replied, 'Oh, I don't want problems.' Then I said, 'that's fine, no problem,' ”said Martinez. (31:27 – 31:35)
Martinez did not appear again in WWE after his participation as Rosebud. He retired from the competition in the ring in 2017.
