A former WWE star recently recalled to travel to Iraq to participate in a Tribute to the Troops show. He said Vince McMahon punished him for his actions.

Jonathan Coachman initially joined the company based on Stamford as an interviewer between the racks almost 25 years ago. However, he later played other roles, including being an occasional competitor in the ring. Although the 51 -year -old man traveled to Afghanistan to fight Ric Flair for tribute to the troops in 2005, he refused to go to Iraq in 2007 for personal reasons. Although participating in the show was supposedly optional considering that it was a war zone at that time, wrestling veteran said that Vince McMahon punished him for his decision.

In a recent interview with Wrestling Then And NowCoachman said they took him out of the comment table the following week. The former WWE referee, Earl Hebner, then approached him and told him to go to the ring and attack The Undertaker.

“I knew what was happening. And it was Vince's way to punish me, which was a complete my#$ because at that point, we are talking about seven years of blind loyalty. So, I went and hit The Undertaker, which made no sense at all. But we were out of the air and you always wanted to send the public to the happy house and I was a kind of villain at that time,” he said.

Raw's former interim general manager revealed that The Undertaker apologized as he hit him in the ring. He also said that this was the time when he realized that he had to leave the WWE.

“So, I knew, he agreed, he will be able to take refuge in him, 'Wait a second, I was trying to leave them home happy' when the truth of the matter was that I was only angry and I wanted Forming a family, ”he added. (3:11 – 4:09)
