Gervasio Defer, Former Spanish Olympic Gimnasta and now coach of that discipline, has decided to break his silence about the serious accusations of sexual abuse and abuse he received a few months ago. The Catalan first appeared in the media after the murky matter was known, specifically in the program Code 10and ensures that he will peel with everything to demonstrate his innocence. In addition, he recounts some of the most shocking episodes of his life, including an attempt to murder in Brazil.
“I am hurt, trying to defend myself from an anonymity,” He began by saying Gervasio Defore, visibly hurt. The former athlete flatly denied the accusations on set and announced legal actions for defamation. «I have to justify that I am not a rapist, when I have never had a complaint. I'm going to fight until the end, ”adds Gervasio Defer.
The facts allegedly date back to the High Performance Center (CAR), when the complainant was minor. The case came to light in November 2024 and there would be at least two other women with similar stories. However, all the facts would be prescribed and were not prosecuted. The case has even generated political consequences, because this week a proposal of law that hardens sorrows for slander was presented in the Senate. It is already known as the Deter Law, for being he who has promoted the debate with his testimony.
“I always hurt, it has been myself,” The former gymnast confesses, referring to his hard personal stage after retiring from sport, when he fell into addictions and his mental health was very harmful. “I was resurfaceing, and this has stopped me again,” says Deter.

A Gervasio Defer who tries not to sink, because he acknowledges that he has gone through even more difficult situations than this: «I was about to die several times, So, when you have gone through that, suddenly, well, you find such a thing, obviously that I go, that's why I am here and that's why I have been silent trying to see how I can defend myself because I get fuck, but on the other hand I know that I have not done anything, therefore I have that peace of mind of knowing that I have not done anything ».
«I have been about to die for different circumstances, by alcohol consumption, for substance consumption. I have had an episode in Brazil that, well, I had to go in 24 hours because they wanted to kill me. I believe, and that is what I have been able to conclude after a lot of time trying to analyze and after being admitted doing psychological therapies, and I am convinced that they gave me Burundanga, that they wanted to drug me. When they already took me all the money, I had nothing anymore, but I had an impressive dizziness, ”he added.
Gervasio Defer was not aware of the situation until the day he left for Brazil: «I feel that I can have died that night the next morning when they take me to the airport escorted by three people because they think that someone can come and shoot me ».
