Bill Goldberg will fight his last fight in 2025.
He announced the news today during his appearance in ESPN SEC Network, saying: “The news of the day is that, according to three executives, Nick Khan, Chris Lengentil and Paul Mild, in 2025, Goldberg will have his retreat fight.”
Clips of Goldberg's appearance were shown at WWE Bad Blood in Atlanta last month, when he was involved in an altercation with Gunther. Goldberg believes that he is likely to face Gunther in his last fight.
“I think we know who the subject is, or probably the victim, the favorite at this time, we know who he is,” said Goldberg. “But in 2025, Goldberg will return in a retirement fight. I have a couple of months to prepare. There is no time or time.”
Goldberg has not fought since he lost to Roman Reigns in Elimination Chamber 2022 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Shortly after his appearance in Bad Blood, Triple H left the door open for his possible return to the company, saying:
“Atlanta loves Bill Goldberg and that's why he was here tonight,” said Triple H. “He was with his wife and son. There will always be a great reaction here enjoying the show. You know, they say things. I can tell you that when Bill returned I was not very happy with Gunther and we'll see.”
