The legend of WCW and WWE, Goldberg, is anxious to go up to the ring for the last time, and his son, Gage, has not ruled out that he follows his father's footsteps and also becomes a fighter.

Gage, like his father, has his eyes to be a American football player and is currently Linebacker of the Colorado Buffalos. In a recent interview with veteran journalist Bill Apter, they asked Gage if he had thought about venturing into the world of professional wrestling.

“I mean, yes and not (about wrestling), sure. Wrestling would be great, having all … being motivated and all, having all that adrenaline. But, also, I know that my place right now is football, I will live this and see where it takes me. If that doesn't work, I could dedicate myself to wrestling, I don't know. It is a plan B,” Gage said.

When Apter told him that there were several fighters in the ring playing football, Gage agreed and drew parallels between wrestling and football.

“Wrestling is also very good for football, for placages and all that, (and) the blows that are received,” said the young man.

He added that he had used the legendary movement of his father's Spear sometimes in the football field during high school, and the movement even turned out that an opponent breaks his neck. Gage has previously appeared on WWE television, and was taken to the ring when Goldberg returned to the WWE in 2016. The young football star was also involved in Goldberg's dispute with Bobby Lashley in 2021, and Lashley even put him in Hurt Lock.

Goldberg had previously declared with confidence that his son would eventually become a fighter, and emphasized that his goal was to provide opportunities to make his own decisions.
