The former president of the Community of Madrid Esperanza Aguirre has charged the former Minister of Finance with José María Aznar and Mariano Rajoy, Cristóbal Montoro, now charged together with part of her team for having allegedly charged private companies to favor them. Aguirre has been shown as one of the people affected by the Montoro case: in 2015, the Madrid policy denounced to the Prosecutor's Office the filtration of his income statement, which he attributes to the former Minister: “I had, I will not say the certainty, but the quasi -timber that Mr. Montoro had been.”

In An interview With RNE, Aguirre has criticized this fact and explained what happened within the PP. “Whenever someone enters the system of the Tax Agency leaves a mark and as I denounced it, it would have to have been known who was the one who entered.” Of course, he has insisted that his statement was “perfect”, although despite this “he dissuaded some voters,” something that, he has affected, “was what Montoro wanted, Soraya Sáenz de Santamaría or Mariano Rajoy.”

The Madrid president has taken the opportunity to criticize that Montoro was for so long in the conservative party: “should never be in the PP”, among other reasons, for her tax program.

To the question about whether Rajoy should give explanations for these accusations to a minister of his government, Aguirre has made it clear that he believes that he should give them, although he does not think the same as Alberto Núñez Feijóo. “How are you not going to disconnect,” he said. “It's as if we blame Pedro Sánchez from Roldán.”

At this point, Aguirre has taken the opportunity to ensure that Sanchez should resign for corruption cases within the PSOE, putting herself as an example, when in 2017 she resigned as opposition leader at the Madrid City Council in the case of Ignacio González. Before the journalist's note that “it is not the same” to resign as leader of a party in the City Council as as president of the Government, Esperanza Aguirre has replied: “Well, well, and?”
