The Valencian Government throws the ball out and avoids giving explanations about the lurches that the president of the Consell, Carlos Mazón, has been taking in relation to his whereabouts on the afternoon of Friday after revealing elDiario.es that he arrived at the Palau de la Generalitat shortly before 8:00 p.m., and not after leaving his lunch in El Ventorro at 6:45 p.m., as he had assured until now. An exclusive included in the documentary 'Where was Mazón?', prepared by this newspaper.

Added to this information is another one advanced by the newspaper Levante-EMV according to which Mazón accompanied the journalist with whom he shared the meal, Maribel Vilaplana, to her vehicle that was parked two minutes from the restaurant, in the Glorieta parking lot located next to the Parterre. A version recognized by the journalist's entourage and by the Presidency.

Regarding all these developments that clash with the official version offered so far by Mazón, the executive's spokesperson and vice president, Susana Camarero, who appeared this Tuesday after the plenary session of the Consell, did not want to go into details. Camarero has assured that the president has already given all the explanations.

According to Camarero, “the president has given all the explanations, every time he has been asked he has given an account of the calls that day and there is nothing more to add in this regard.” The Consell spokesperson recalled that there has been “a succession of hoaxes that have been denied, such as that he was incommunicado, that he had turned off his cell phone, that he was in the Integrated Operational Coordination Center (Cecopi) giving orders, that he was eating with Zaplana or with Camps, and even with Feijóo, some of them launched by the President of the Government or by the Government delegate; the reality is that the President has already given all the explanations.”

Asked by elDiario.es about the new details that have been known in recent days and that invalidate those explanations, such as the journey to the parking lot next to Vilaplana or his arrival at the Palau de la Generalitat shortly before 8:00 p.m., and where Mazón was until that time, Camarero did not want to go into details, but he did not deny that schedule either: “The explanations have been given, I am not going to enter into the debate on the minutes, there have been a hoax that he was incommunicado fed by the President of the Government. In addition, there were other important actors who had a lot to say in the dana, and 12 months later we still do not know what they did, such as the socialist minister Diana Morant, the Government delegate, Pilar Bernabé, the then Minister Teresa Ribera, or the President of the Government himself, Pedro Sánchez, who was in India. Responsible people who have not given any explanation.”

Regarding the words of the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, who has warned that Mazón will have to respond to all the questions raised in the different commissions, the vice president has stated that “the president will appear in all the commissions at his own request in the Corts and in the Senate and will answer the questions asked by their honors, not like the president of the Júcar Hydrographic Confederation does, who does not he attended to appear at the Cortes; “He will appear when summoned.”

Regarding the State funeral this Wednesday on the occasion of the first anniversary of the Dana, Camarero has confirmed that Mazón will attend the funeral and has commented that “the victims have all the respect, all the affection, empathy and support” and has commented that “the Valencian president attended the religious funeral out of commitment and conviction, which was not attended by President Pedro Sánchez”, whom he has attacked for his latest statements against Mazón: “A president who has upset a state funeral with ministers who have made out of place statements, taking into account that tomorrow is a day of respect, very hard for families, and that confrontation should not be used, it is a day in which the victims and Valencians must be especially recognized.”

Asked if the head of the Consell will greet the victims, Camarero explained that she does not know “whether there will be greetings or not, President Mazón will go with all due respect, it is a complicated day for the victims and for the Valencians” and has insisted on asking for “high-mindedness and respect for the pain of the victims, who are always in the memory, in the memory and in the action of this Government.”
