As the biggest promotion star, Cody also enjoys a massive fans. “The American Nightmare” is known by his followers as a kind person who always signs autographs and is friendly and polite with everyone.
However, this has cost him to be weaker than his opponents. A good example of this is his current rivalry with Kevin Owens, in which he has not been aggressive even though Owens tries to end his career. It seems that the only thing that lacks its arsenal is aggression.

During a recent appearance in Busted Open RadioArn Anderson discussed what Cody needs to advance. He also revealed some tips he gave Cody during his time together in AEW.
“I had Cody on the edge of change when he was in AEW, adjusting his attitude a bit, understanding that if you are going out and tell the world of wrestling and all in the locker room that your goal is to be a champion, you have to do whatever it is necessary to achieve it. Well, then you need to do some things you are not used to.”
Arn added that he was about to achieve this change in Cody Rhodes when he decided to leave AEW for WWE. Anderson still feels that for Cody has an incredible reign as WWE champion, he will have to show a more aggressive side, even if that hurts the feelings of some people.
“You have to increase the aggression, and I had it right at that point, but decided to take a choice and change company. I still feel that the only way to stay at the top, if you really want to have one of those colossal and incredible reigns in this business, is that it has to be more aggressive, to be more willing to do things that can hurt feelings or even scare someone, like” Oh, my God, my God never saw that side of him! ” Well, that side is what will hold it as a champion. ” (12:00 – 14:00)
