The attack on Jade Cargill during SmackDown has left the WWE universe with unanswered questions, but new details suggest that the brutal incident behind the scenes can be more than a simple story. According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, the incident could have been designed to cover up a legitimate injury.

“It was told Fightful that Jade Cargill's matter was to cover a legitimate injury. We are working to confirm it,” Sapp reported.

This revelation has generated even more questions about the future of the powerful star in WWE and how long could be out of action.

At the SmackDown angle, Cargill was lying on the hood of a car, visibly bloody and surrounded by broken crystals. Later, the WWE published a medical update of the story, in which their injuries were listed as “Deep lumbar muscle bruises, a bruised kidney, a sprain of the medial collateral ligament in the right knee, a bruise on the tibial plateau of the right knee and facial lacerations.” The WWE confirmed that there is currently no set for its return.

While this development left Cargill out of the tournament for the WWE women's title, his absence has created a thorbellino of speculation. A mysterious competitor is ready to replace it in the next triple threat combat against Michin and Piper Niven. In addition, its status for the Wargames of Survivor Series is now in the air, which adds more intrigue to one of the most important events of the WWE year.

If the SAPP report is correct, this could mean a significant delay in the expected impulse of Cargill in the WWE. Fans wonder if the injury is serious enough to derail their career as one of the company's rising stars.

Jade Cargill's future at WWE has become much more murky with this latest update. If SmackDown's attack is really a cover for a legitimate injury, the date of his return could be an unknown. Whether this slows your meteoric ascent or prepare the land for an epic return, one thing is safe: Cargill's story is far from finishing.
