WWE's personality said that John Cena must end the reign of the General Ring Championship if the two potentially face WrestleMania 41:
“If the first thing you are going to do is have a great rivalry with Gunther, I don't think I must lose at the beginning. I think that would kill his impulse,” he said. (35:23 – 35:29)
Peter Rosenberg wants John Cena to win the Royal Rumble Male on his return to WWE
In a recent interview with Zaslow Show 2.0, Peter Rosenberg expressed his desire to see John Cena win the Royal Rumble Male for the third time in his career in 2025.
Former 24/7 champion declared that the Cenation leader could then defeat Gunther in Wrestlemania 41:
“I want him to defeat Gunther in Wrestlemania. I am tired of losing. I would love to win the rumble. It would be his third. I think he would tie him with (Stone Cold Steve Austin) for the largest number of victories in the rumble. He could then break the record of Ric Flair. I would love it, I would love it,” he said.
Gunther has surpassed multiple challengers in the last four months. It will be interesting to see if I could beat Cena if the latter challenged him after his return.
