The legal representatives of Janel Grant have dismissed all the accusations against John laurinaitis in their current demand that alleges sexual abuse involving WWE and Vince McMahon.
In a judicial presentation sent last Wednesday to the United States District Court in Connecticut, Grant voluntarily dismissed the lawsuit with respect to laurinitis, which is not considered to be submitted again in the future. Diseems applies only to laurinitis. Grant continues his legal action against WWE and Vince McMahon.
Today's presentation indicates:
“The plaintiff Janel Grant stipulates with the defendant John laurinaitis that the aforementioned action is voluntarily dismissed, with prejudice, against the defendant John Laurinaitis. For clarity, the plaintiff is not dismissing any accusation against any other defendant other than Mr. Laurinaitis. Each party will assume their own legal costs.”
The document establishes that each party will assume its own legal costs.
In a declaration to *post Wrestling *, Grant's lawyers indicate that laurinitis has agreed to provide evidence for Grant's demand against McMahon and WWE. Brandon Thurson later clarified that the statement comes from both Grant and laurinitis.
“John laurinaitis has agreed to cooperate and provide evidence in Janel Grant's demand against Vince McMahon and WWE. His agreement to a confidential arrangement is a crucial step towards the responsibility of McMahon and WWE, and to bring justice to Mrs. Grant after years of sexual abuse and traffic. Mr. Laurinaitis hopes to move forward with his life. We cannot provide more details at this time.”
The case is currently waiting for a resolution on whether it will be sent to private arbitration. The legal representatives of the defenders have until May 13 to present their motion to demand arbitration. Grant's team will have until May 23 to answer, and a decision will be made later.
Earlier this month, a federal judge granted Grant's request to file a modified complaint that includes information on WWE agreement with the SEC for unnatured payments, extended accusations of abuse, the identification of alleged accomplices, and efforts to obtain medical records from a doctor who, according to her, was paid by McMahon.
