During a recent interview, Jeff Hardy talked about how his career could have turned out different if he had taken better care when he was younger.
The 47 -year -old fighter appeared on Dallas television this morning promoting TNA's recordings at Curtis Culwell Center at the end of this month. Jeff said that if he had lived his life differently when he was younger, he could have been “bigger than John Cena.”
Jeff Hardy said:
“The way life lived when I was 20 and 30 years old, and if I lived life as I live now, my God, there is no way to know. It would probably be bigger than John Cena today because I was born with a great gift to be a professional fighter. It seemed as natural and as if I had been created to do this. And the good thing about that is that I am still here. I still have life and I feel good.”
Jeff says that he and his brother have been taking care of more physically lately. He specifically mentioned ice baths as something that has been beneficial.
“As Matt mentioned, we bathe a lot with ice and that has been incredibly beneficial to me, both mentally and physically. So I don't put a number to that. I will fight until I can fight anymore.”
Matt and Jeff Hardy are the current world champions in TNA couples, having won the belts in Bound for Glory in October. They defeated Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards from The System in a Match Table in Final Resolution last month and filmed a fight against Sami Callihan and Pco in the recordings of the next night that has not yet been issued in TNA Impact.
They are scheduled to defend their titles in TNA Genesis on January 19 against Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz, The Rascalz.
