► Jeremy Allen White reveals what surprised him the world of wrestling
«I think that I certainly have to highlight the level of athletics. This sport is like a mixture of dance, gymnastics, combat sport … It is so many things, and requires impressive resistance. But what struck me most when working with Chavo and preparing myself was that at first I thought about it as a choreographed fighting scene, such as: 'Ok, here I hit him, here I kill a flying kick, and here I throw myself against the strings'.
«But, I wasn't thinking about it as a complete presentation, an entire narrative, a complete story. The moments between movements are often even more important to the public than the movements themselves. Those are the moments that catch people, those who excite them.
«And your energy at that time is key. I remember that he had a routine in which he jumped over and over again, he did all that effort, and was exhausted. And then Chavo told me: 'Now you have to recharge and put more energy.' And I thought: 'Recharge? I want to breathe! Catch my breath'. And he told me: 'No, you have to be trampled the ground, showing energy.'
«That seemed fascinating: Understand the world of wrestling and that broader aspect of the story, see these types not only as obvious athletes, but as true artists, true interpreters, true stories narrators ».
