Jey use won the 2025 male Royal Royal to obtain a fight for the title against Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship. However, it might not get to Wrestlemania at all and WWE could make the decision to withdraw it from combat and give that fight to another person.
The member of the NWA Bill Apter Hall of Fame was in this week's edition of Smack Talk. They talked about several things, but one of the things they talked about was the fight for the title of Jey in Wrestlemania. Apter felt that the star was not going to get to Wrestlemania at all.
He felt that Jey was going to be discarded from the fight due to an attack, and John Cena would replace him in that fight for the world title. This fight on the billboard would then allow CM Punk to face Cody Rhodes in the fight that fans want to see.
“Fans want to see CM Punk against Cody Rhodes. Jey use has announced that he will go for the world championship against Gunther, and I have been saying this in many programs. I don't know if Jey use will arrive in Wrestlemania, with all these attacks that are happening with him. I don't know. I think John Cena could end with Gunther in some way that everyone wants to see. ” (1:46 – 2:23)
It remains to be seen if this ends up occurring or not.
