The world heavyweight champion is ready to defend his title against Jey use at the next Saturday Night's Main Event event. While most fans believe that The tribal Chief will revive their rivalry with Cody Rhodes at some point, a possible program with Gunther would be fresh. When mentioned in the Jim Cornette podcast, the veteran analyzed it.
Jim Cornette said it makes sense for Roman Reigns to go after Cody Rhodes instead of Gunther. He also pointed out that Jey Use is being positioned as the next challenger for The General Ring, adding that Reigns was less likely to take the place of 39 -year -old fighter in RAW.
“Well, that's what happens. Roman has to go after Cody because it would not make sense otherwise. But as they have two world titles, they need someone who wants the other, and that is where Jey enters,” said Cornette. (From 2:52 to 3:10)
Main Event Jey interrupted the return of Gunther, world heavyweight champion, in RAW last week. They will face the title on January 25.

After taking another criticism of Jey use, Jim Cornette recognized the stellar power of use through the perspective of the WWE universe. He encouraged Mr. Main Event to improve in the ring because everyone wanted to support the former intercontinental champion.
Despite this, Cornette said that Gunher will hold the World Heavyweight World Championship on Jey use at the Saturday Night's Main Event event because he would prefer to reserve the defeat for a bigger occasion.
“The Saturday Night's Main Event event is fine for me, but they don't do it!” Jim Cornette reviewed Raw's promo between Gunther and Jey use. “Maybe he (use) could improve his job a bit.
