John Cena recently revealed his plans to win the 2025 male Rumble to obtain an opportunity for the world title in WWE Wrestlemania 41. The member of the Hall of Fame, Bully Ray, said that the Cenation leader could share an emotional moment with a highlighted superstar after potentially facing him in a fight for the championship in The Show of Shows.
The world champion of 16 times returned last week to start his farewell tour. Although Cena admitted that he did not deserve an opportunity for the World Championship due to his current streak of defeats in individuals, he announced that he would participate in the Royal Rumble Male and that he plans to win it to ensure his place in the main event of The Showcase of the Immortals.
Speaking in the podcast Busted OpenBully Ray suggested a scenario in which Cena would win the Royal Rumble and challenge the undisputed champion WWE, Cody Rhodes, in Wrestlemania, but I would lose the fight:
“I just want them to imagine this for a moment as a transfer of the witness. Cody vs. dinner, Cody Wins, dinner is disappointed with himself for having lost, this was his opportunity to break the record, it is probably his last WrestleMania, 'Rays! I couldn't achieve it.' The music stops.
The member of the Hall of Fame added that Cena could then take off his shoes and give them to The American Nightmare in a moment of transfer of the witness:
“Cody could approach to help John get up. John doesn't want help. John unleashes his boots, takes them away, John Cena does not leave his boots in the center of the ring, John Cena gives his boots to Cody. (From 06:34 to 07:50)
John Cena could get an opportunity for the world title winning a WWE tournament
In his podcast Notsam WrestlingWWE analyst Sam Roberts discussed John Cena's possible trajectory towards a fight for the World Championship. He agreed with a fan of his program that the Cenation leader could still get an opportunity for the title even if he loses the Royal Rumble and the elimination Chamber.
The 41 -year -old analyst acknowledged that Cena could win the King of the Ring tournament to get an opportunity for the WWE Summerslam championship, as Genther did last year:
“If he lost the rumble and the chamber, as, if he arrived at King of the Ring and had not yet had an opportunity for the title, it could be, yes, yes, I had not even thought about King of the Ring, but it is a good idea. I mean, it could be interesting,” he said.
It would be interesting to see if Cena will be the person that is finally measured and even Venza to Cody in the WWE big show.
