Jon Moxley returned to “Aew Dynamite” on Wednesday, without the entrance music “Wild Thing”, opting for his new Japan Pro-Wrestling theme, and was noticed when heading to another unconditional fighter of the company.

Moxley challenged Darby Allin, who comes from a defeat for the TNT championship against Jack Perry in a Coffin Match, but also has a fight for AEW's world title on the way.

Moxley opened the show making the public for the first time from Forbidden Door two months ago, without its usual intensity. When he entered the ring, Tony Schiavone got out of the comment table and took a microphone to greet him. Schiavone asked Moxley how he was, since fans hadn't seen him for a while. Moxley replied that he had been thinking more than speaking lately and had been thinking about “things that should be done.” He said he came to “Dynamite” looking for a man who is not there to have a conversation. Moxley referred to Allin, and said that there is all like him, but nothing like him, and that it was time for them to have a talk.

Then he went to leave the ring and Schiavone began welcoming the crowd to the show, when Moxley turned around. Moxley told Schiavone that “it would take some time for everyone to realize something” and said “this is no longer your company”, with no more context than what I wanted to say, but leaving an intrigue among the commentators.

It was previously reported that Moxley was at a prolonged break from AEW after losing the IWGP heavyweight worldwide championship against Tetsuya Naito in Forbidden Door. Moxley was behind the stage at the Wrestling Revolver events in his native Ohio during the weekend of All In.
