Seeing international stars in Revpro, as is the case during the last year for its alliance with AEW, is not something new. Andy Quildan's promoter was able to take her place in the European circuit at the beginning of the last decade, in large part, thanks to the implications of legends (mainly attached to NJPW) as Justhin “Thunder” Light.
And it is that the show that definitely put Revpro on the luchistic map, Uprising 2013 was stellarized by Liger, who tried unsuccessfully there to conquer the indisputable British cruise weight championship that Ostenta Finn Bálor (then Prince Devitt). First time of the company under the spotlights of the York Hall and the first major box office success.
Liger also contributed to establishing the British J Cup as a reference tournament in the scene of the old continent with his victory in the first installment, back in 2017. A year later he repeated participation, although without taking the victory.
It seems understandable that Now that Revpro inaugurates particular Hall of Fame for the weekend of its 13th anniversary, Liger is first member. The Japanese will not compete (he hung his boots already a five years), but as Revpro details, will be present in El Crystal Palace National Sports Center during Global Wars UK.
