The Canadian stressed that although the surgery went well, he does not know if he can return to the ring, because everything depends on how his body reacts. These were his interesting words:

“Yes, it is a neck surgery. I needed a cervical fusion. It was very stressful before entering surgery, because we were not sure how severe the fusion was going to be, how many levels were going to be, all that. Fortunately, it ended up being just a level, which is the best possible scenario in something like that.
“The surgery was successful. I had a great doctor. The subject now is to see how the bones merge, and there is no guarantee that it will work. It depends on how my body heals. We have seen that some fighters have gone well no longer others. With cross fingers, I hope to fight again in the next year. I really don't know, but that's my goal. I hope it is what happens. ”
