Austin Theory recently said that a 17 -time absent champion was fundamental during the return of The Rock to WWE in September 2023. Theory shared the story of how Charlotte Flair was involved in the last -moment planning of the surprise return of The Great One.

Update on the possible return of Charlotte Flair to WWE

Charlotte Flair has not appeared on the WWE television since the episode of December 8, 2023 of Smackdown. Flair suffered a knee injury in a fight against Asuka and had to undergo surgery in early January. He is still recovering and is not expected to fight this year.

According to WrestleVotes there are plans for Flair's return to WWE in Wrestlemania 41. It is not yet clear at this time, but it will probably be a great confrontation.
