Raw's debut in Netflix had the return of many WWE legends, such as Hulk Hogan, The Rock and The Undertaker. However, a great absent name in the show was Stone Cold Steve Austin. The wrestling veteran Vinceo Russo speculated on the reason behind the absence of The Texas Rattlesnake.

Stone Cold Steve Austin was last seen in WWE's programming in Wrestlemania 38, where he made his presence feel in both nights. It was reported that the company tried to take it to Wrestlemania 40 for the fight between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes, but the plans did not materialize. The same happened before RAW's debut in Netflix.

In the program Legion of RAWVince Russo speculated that Stone Cold Steve Austin had real problems with someone at WWE and that this is the reason he refused to appear in important shows. He also questioned The Texas Rattlesnake relationship with Triple H.

“I make the point that Steve is not just about money. There has to be a problem. Because Steve does not do these things. Now I have to believe that it is not about money. He is probably not happy with beer, he is not happy with that, since now they will sponsor Hogan's beer. Who knows what his relationship with Triple H is. There is much more with Austin than only money.” (From 18:07)

Apart from The Undertaker, John Cena, The Rock and Hulk Hogan, Nikki Bella and X-Pac also appeared in the historical Episode of RAW. Cena began his farewell tour, while The Final Boss spoke about the success of the WWE and praised Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns.
