One of the most unpleasant moments of the year for WWE fans, or even for anyone in the roster, is when liberations begin. What is sometimes known as “spring cleaning” has happened again in early May 2025, and this is the list of liberations.
It was rumored that important cuts were coming within WWE, and this is something that happens to shake things and presumably reduce costs. In general, there are also cuts behind the scene, but they receive less advertising.
However, the list of superstar released this year is nothing less than shocking due to the stellar power of some names. We are not just talking about the main roster.

Ryan Papolla, the beloved transmission figure that was with the company for a decade, was also fired from the company.
Perhaps the most shocking name in this list is Dakota Kai, who was gaining popularity among fans and was in the contest to become the first women's intercontinental champion. In NXT, Eddy Thorpe, Cora Jade and Gigi Dolin were beloved figures, while Jakara Jackson enjoyed regular time on television.
