The Hardy Boyz are acclaimed as one of the most decorated label teams in the history of professional wrestling, or WWE, for the case. Matt Hardy recently broke the silence after he and his brother, Jeff Hardy, met with the headquarters in Stamford after 2021.
The Hardy Boyz have continued their legacy since they separated from the sports entertainment giant. Matt's contract expired in 2020, and Jeff was fired in December 2021. The duo had a brief career with AEW before returning to TNA last year. Matt and Jeff added another achievement to their careers worthy of the Hall of Fame by capturing the World TNA team championship for the third time.
Several TNA stars have appeared in World Wrestling Entertainment and vice versa as part of a new association between the two companies. The Hardy Boyz returned this week when WWE launched a retrospective on their YouTube channel, presenting Matt and Jeff Hardy. This marks its first appearance in the ability of the sports entertainment giant in more than three years.
Today earlier, Matt Hardy used his official X/Twitter account to express his gratitude to WWE on behalf of the Hardy Boyz. He also said they would be open to collaborate again to film more content for digital platforms.
“Thank you for having Jeff and me to sit and record some digital content of @WWE. We both loved how the retrospective piece of the Hardys was. We hope to do more in the future!” Matt wrote.
Will the Hardy Boyz return to WWE soon?
In the podcast Busted OpenMatt Hardy said he sees the Hardy Boyz returning to his former field of action for a last race before taking his deserved place in the Hall of Fame.
“I would like to do TNA and have a phenomenal run there, and then I almost feel that now, fate has revealed in many ways; I almost feel that Jeff and I ended up returning to WWE, we do something small and then enter the Hall of Fame. That is the best scenario,” he said.
Interestingly, Jeff Hardy has flirted with the idea of renewing his infamous rivalry with CM Punk and potentially withdraw the saint from the second city.
Matt and Jeff Hardy recently signed with TNA Wrestling for another year, which will keep them with the promotion until November 2025. Will the duo return to the headquarters based in Stamford next year? Only time will say it.
