Once Caldas shook this Friday from the hard blow suffered in the South American Cup and responded with a win. At the start of date 13 of the Betplay League, the Manizaleño team defeated Boyacá Chicó 5-2 at the Palogrande stadium.

The place opened the scoring on the first quarter of an hour, when Kevin Cuesta took advantage of a stopped ball action to take a loose ball and define at close range in front of Darío Denis. The party control was consolidated before the break thanks to Robert Mejía, which signed 2-0 from outside the area.

For the complement, Flabio Torres moved the checkered bench in search of reaction, but barely restarted the game another misfortune came: Jairo Molina, in his attempt to clear, committed an autogol. The Magdalene striker, however, found revenge and scored the discount shortly after.

The visiting hope lasted little, because at 61 Jefry Zapata, after a precise center by Luis Felipe Gómez, scored the fourth goal for the eleven. Molina himself reappeared at 71 and scored his personal double. Its effectiveness in the front contrasted with the defensive fragility of chess.

In the final stretch, Déinner Quiñones entered from the bank and with an assistance served Mateo Zuleta the final 5-2. The visit stayed with one less player when regular time was about to be fulfilled after Andrés Aedo entered Andrés Ibargüen.

Hernán Darío Herrera reserved several of his referents, including Dayro Moreno, Mateo García and Jáider Riquett, but still his team found offensive forcefulness. With this victory, Once Caldas reached 16 points and is tenth in the table, at a point in the eighth place.

The “Blanco Blanco” passed page quickly after its elimination at the hands of Independiente del Valle, which fired it in penalties of the South American. Now, with the League and the Betplay Cup as objectives, the Manizaleños dream of giving their fans a joy after this week's illusion.
