WWE has often changed the name of the fighters and has given them new names on the screen. A popular SmackDown superstar recently revealed why he changed his name after returning to the promotion of fighting in 2022.

Michin, WWE's superstar, used to fight Mia Yim during his first stage in the company based in Stamford. Unfortunately, she was released from her contract in 2021. However, the 35 -year -old fighter signed again with the global giant the following year.

On his return to Monday Night Raw in November 2022, Mia Yim attacked Rhea Ripley and joined The OC to help them face The Judgment Day. In February 2023, his name in the ring was changed to Michin, which means “crazy” in Korean. In the last episode of Casual Conversations with The Classicexplained the reason behind the name change.

“I know that The OC has its own (nicknames). Especially when they fought in Japan, they had their own nicknames and things like that. Then, when I returned and joined them, they said: 'You need a nick Yim, and I'm fine with that too. (From 8:42 to 9:20)

Michin recently lost an opportunity for the WWE championship

Michin faced Chelsea Green in the final of the Tournament for the WWE Women's Championship. SmackDown's two superstars faced the Saturday Night's Main Event event.

Michin and Green were involved in a hard fight, which saw both exchanged blows. The combat ended after a distraction of Piper Niven that allowed The Hot Mess to apply a modified one prettier from the upper rope, ensuring the victory to become the US female inaugural champion in WWE.

Michin had defeated Chelsea Green in a Dumpter fight earlier this year, which could help her have another champion against the new champion.
