The R-Truth fighter is gone-and now Ron Killings is in the WWE to stay after his shocking return last Saturday in Money in the Bank.
The episode of June 9, 2025 of WWE RAW from the PHX Arena in Phoenix offered its unexpected dose of turns, but nothing impacted more than the dramatic return and the reinvention of Ron Killings. Just days after surprising John Cena in Money in the Bank, the man previously known as R-Truth returned to the ring with a microphone in his hand-and a message that left fans without words.
Going to the WWE universe for the first time since his return, Killings made it clear that this was not a joke or a gimmick. He began thanking the fans for bringing him back, but did not waste time to deepen something much more serious. “R-Truth can be too serious sometimes,” He said, before taking the audience on an emotional trip that ended with a live haircut – literally.
In one of the most raw and filter segments in WWE's recent memory, Killings took out a couple of scissors and cut his braids in front of an astonished crowd.
The Phoenix audience broke out with songs of “holy sh*t” while looking at the camera and declared: “The truth has freed me – I'm Ron Killings.”
He ended up demanding respect and leaving a clear thing: he is no longer here to entertain anyone with jokes. This is a new era for one of WWE's most durable performers, and based on the reaction in the sand, fans are totally behind this transformation.
It remains to be seen if this new version of Ron Killings will take a deeper rivalry with dinner – but one thing is safe: Truth's gimmick is officially dead.
