To surprise and discomfort of absolutely everyone, R-Truth left the WWE on June 1. For a week, fans asked and demanded that he return and finally did so during the Premium Money in the Bank event.
► In R-Truth's words
While talking recently in Ringer Wrestling, The veteran revealed how he lived those moments:
“It was my lowest point. I was crying. I cried. I cried for love.
“People's reactions made me feel unity. We are talking about the world. Different countries. I received direct messages, emails, tweets from different people. Of all races, nationalities and lifestyles. I cried only for the good of humanity. For me? We all agreed on one thing. 'This is wrong.' That was the most powerful that has happened to me in life. For me, any adversity I have faced, to be where I am. Endurance. I made lemonade with chicken shit.
Really, when we don't know, the world is looking at us. There were people who do not fight on all social networks, more than 100 million. People who have been part of my legacy, I am part of their legacy. People who grew up with me. When I know fans and tell me, 'You remind my grandmother, my grandfather, my dad, my brother, my sister, my aunt, my uncle.' There are so many things linked to me with people. It was the most moving that God has shown me and given me.”
