SmackDown begins with Rey Mysterio, who welcomes her to Smackdown and declared his entrance to Royal Rumble 2025, remembering his victory in 2006 when he started at number 2.
Then he mentioned the main competitors of this year: Drew McIntyre, CM Punk, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and John Cena. When recalling his victory in honor of Eddie Guerrero, the public shouted “Eddie!” Suddenly, Kevin Owens appeared with the title Winged Eagle.
Owens interrupted, praised Rey and recalled his own achievements, including having starred Wrestlemania with Stone Cold and winning the titles as a couple. Owens said he supports Rey in the Rumble, but asked him to choose him as an opponent in Wrestlemania if he wins. King, respectfully, replied that he was not the champion, but he would agree to face him if they both won their respective fighting. Owens altered, and King calmed him calling him delusional, comparing it to his son Dominik. This led to an attempt to attack by Owens, frustrated by Rey, who finished the segment with his music.
– Bianca and Naomi discussed how to avenge Jax and Lerae attack, planning to avoid past errors.
Bianca Belair and Naomi vs. Nia Jax and Candice Lerae
After a series of rapid movements and about three falls, Naomi applied his auction on Lerae for victory.
– Bayley reflected on his rivalry with Tiffany Stratton, saying that he seeks to redeem himself after losing the female title last year.
-Michin interrupted a Niven and Green attack towards B-Fab, consolidating their history in the female division.
– Santos Escobar motivated the Garza to seek respect defeating Motor Machine Guns (MCMG).
Jimmy Uso vs. Carmelo Hayes
Jimmy won the victory for disqualification after interference from Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga. This led to a confrontation that culminated in the appearance of only Sikoa.
– Jacob Fatu showed a more serious side, rejecting disloyalty and declaring that he is barely starting. Only Sikoa appeared but, without saying a word, he left the ring, leaving an ambiguous message. This intensifies the narrative within the Bloodline 2.0.
MCMG vs. Los Garza
McMG took the victory despite the intervention of Pretty Deadly.
Piper Niven vs. B-Fab
A short fight where Niven dominoes. After the meeting, Michin intervened to save B-Fab from an attack.
Kevin Owens vs. Rey Mysterio
Owens took the victory. The segment ended with a physical confrontation between Owens and Cody, intensifying its rivalry for Royal Rumble.
– A Charlotte Flair vignette was issued.
Tiffany Stratton defeated Bayley to retain the WWE women's championship
Bayley hit Stratton to achieve a two account, but Stratton recovered and obtained a two Backslide account. Stratton finally connected his Alabama Slam and followed him with the PME for clean victory.
