WWE SmackDown begins when Joe Tessitore welcomed the public while showing images of Seattle, who quickly changed to Tomas del Allegant Stadium in Las Vegas. Several Backstage fighters were shown in different places: Drew McIntyre, Damian Priest, Berto, Angel, Santos Escobar, Rey Fenix and Cody Rhodes.
A video was broadcast recapitulating Kevin Owens' announcement of the previous week. Nick Aldis appeared in the center of the ring to start the first segment.
Nick Aldis spoke about maintaining his professionalism and, after strong songs of “Randy Orton” by the public, invited Orton to Ring. Orton arrived and said he could see in Aldis's eyes that he took personally what happened last week, when Orton gave him an RKO and paid a fine.
Orton mentioned that he does not have a scheduled fight for Wrestlemania (his 20th participation) and asked Aldis to get an opponent, even joking that Aldis could fight that night. Aldis replied that he worked hard for 20 years to get to WWE and does not need Orton's money, but his respect. The crowd continued to ask for an “RKO.”
The music of Solo Sikoa sounded, and Sikoa, accompanied by Tama Tonga, went out to the ring. Sikoa insulted Orton, saying that nobody wants to see him in Wrestlemania and that Jacob Fatu will be the new United States champion, while Orton will stay at home alone.
Orton challenged Sikoa and Tonga to climb to the ring, but they were overcome in number until the Knight appeared to match things. Knight and Orton dominated Sikoa and Tonga. Knight took the microphone and challenged both of a fight that same night against him and Orton, and Aldis made him official for later in the show.
Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez sat in ringside for the next fight.

Rey Fenix vs. Berto:
King Fenix defeated Berto.
Byron Saxton interviewed Roxanne Perez in front of Aldis's office. Perez said he is ready to stand out, but Tiffany Stratton appeared and argued with her. Aldis came out and said he would consider a match between them for that night.

Santos Escobar scolded Berto for his performance and said he would congratulate Rey Fenix. Angel joined him, while Andrade comforted Berto, but he rejected him.
Cody Rhodes segment:
Cody Rhodes made his entrance with several replicas of previous world titles arranged in the ring. He spoke with passion about being the “best fighter in the world” and his commitment to maintain the title in Wrestlemania against John Cena. He criticized Cena for ignoring Seattle on his farewell and questioning his authenticity. Cody emphasized that the title must remain “at home” and with fans, ending with a challenging message to dinner. His music closed the segment.
For next week:
John Cena will return next week, along with Andre The Giant Battle Royal, a match between Zelina Vega, Kayden Carter and Katana Chance against The Green Regime, and a defense of couples titles between The Street Profits and Motor City Machine Guns.
