WWE SmackDown begins when Joe Tessitore welcomed the public while showing images of Las Vegas. Several backstage fighters were shown: Cody Rhodes, Motor City Machine Guns, The Street Profits, only Sikoa and Tama Tonga. Suddenly, the Knight appeared and crashed Tonga's arm against the door of a car.
Initial segment: Seth Rollins:
The crowd began to sing “cm punk!” and “OTC!” (By Roman Reigns). Rollins sat with his legs crossed in the center of the ring, imitating punk, and said he wanted to talk about him.
Rollins said the story between him, Reigns and Punk began 12 years ago with Paul Heyman, who brought them to WWE as The Shield to protect punk. Rollins sacrificed everything in the ring, but the foci were always in Reigns, seen as the next “John Cena.” Meanwhile, Punk left the company.
Rollins promised that the story will end in Wrestlemania in “the most important triple threat combat in the history of the industry”, ensuring that it will sacrifice everything to guide the business in the right direction. He ended up saying that it was not a prediction, but a spoiler.
Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal:
Great American eliminated Rey Fenix. The last two were Hayes and Andrade, who faced each other remembering their series of seven fights. Hayes eliminated Andrade after a cutter from the second rope to win. The Miz celebrated with Hayes in Ringside.
Interview with Charlotte Flair:
Wade Barrett interviewed Charlotte, asking him why his rivalry with Tiffany Stratton became so intense. Charlotte said both have something to demonstrate, but now fans are invested in their fight in Wrestlemania, which is what matters in business.
Update on Tama Tonga:
It was announced that Tama Tonga was taken to a local medical center after the Knight attack in the parking lot.
Segmento: Rhea Ripley, IYO SKY, Bianca Belair, Naomi y Jade Cargill:
Rhea Ripley entered the ring and received ovations. He said that this will be his sixth Wrestlemania and that he has increasingly competed for a championship, but this year is the most important.
Iyo Sky's music sounded, and Sky entered, but before he could speak, Bianca Belair's music interrupted. Belair was booed by the crowd and asked if Sky and Ripley thought it would not appear. He said that this could be his last night in SmackDown for a while, since in Wrestlemania he will be champion.
Naomi's music sounded, and confronted Belair for ignoring his calls and messages, questioning if his friendship means so little.
Jade Cargill's music rang, and entered with determination, shouting Belair out of the microphone. Naomi left the ring, but Ripley intervened, saying that it was not Cargill. Naomi returned, and all, except Sky, began to fight. Sky stayed on the sidelines while the crowd sang its name, and then executed an over the moonsault from the upper rope above all on the ground, closing the segment.
Backstage moment with King Fenix, Chad Gable, Dragon Lee and Rey Mysterio:
Rey Fenix was Backstage when Chad Gable made fun of him for losing the Royal Battle. Dragon Lee intervened, telling Gable to shut up. Rey Mysterio appeared and told Gable that the great American will learn Truth Lucha Lucha in Wrestlemania. Mysterio challenged Gable and created them to a six -men fight later in the show.
The Street Profits vs. Motor City Machine Guns:
The combat ended without result after due to #DIY interference. Gargano and Ciampa stole the couples titles and left.
Backstage moment with Nick Aldis, Chelsea Green and #Diy:
Nick Aldis met Chelsea Green and the Secret Hervice, who gave him legal roles for the defeat on behalf of last week. Aldis announced a fight between Green and Zelina Vega for later, with Secret Hervice expelled from Ringside.
Ciampa and Gargano tried to get out of the stadium with the titles of couples, but Aldis stopped them. The Street Profits appeared, and after an argument, Aldis confiscated the titles and announced a FTA fight for next week in SmackDown between The Street Profits, Motor City Machine Guns and #DIY for the titles.
Randy Orton segment:
Randy Orton recalled that he has no opponent for Wrestlemania 41, his twenty participation. He talked about the emotion in Las Vegas for the event and mentioned that his father was in the first Wrestlemania, so he will not stay out this year.
Orton said he will appear on Sunday ready to fight, with boots and baby oil on the skin, for fans, himself and the boys in Backstage. He challenged anyone who has fighting boots to face it, promising that they will fall before an RKO. His music closed the segment.
Interview with Damian Priest:
Byron Saxton interviewed Damian Priest, who interrupted to send a message to McIntyre. He said McIntyre is not a victim yet, but he is not ready for his fight in Wrestlemania. He promised to hit him so strong that McIntyre will want to have been fired again and that he will bury him on Sunday.
Combate: Zelina Vega vs. Chelsea Green (no titular):
Zelina Vega defeated Chelsea Green. The crowd supported Green and booed Vega.
Promo of the Knight:
He said that the attack on Tonga was inspired by the events of last week and now plans to neutralize only Sikoa to avoid interference in his fight against Jacob Fatu in Wrestlemania. Combatte: the Knight vs. Sikoa alone:
The Knight defeated only Sikoa for disqualification when Jacob Fatu appeared and attacked Knight, causing disqualification. Braun Strowman's music sounded, and he entered, attacking Sikoa and Fatu with a Double Cross-Body. Knight and Strowman cleaned the ring. Nick Aldis came out and announced an immediate fight: Knight and Strowman vs. Sikoa and Fatu.
LA Knight & Braun Strowman vs. Solo Sikoa & Jacob Fatu:
The Knight and Braun Strowman defeated only Sikoa and Jacob Fatu when Knight connected a pop-up elbow from the upper rope, but Fatu interrupted a count. Strowman tried his Strowman Express, but Fatu threw him on the commentators' table. In the ring, Knight applied a BFT to Sikoa for victory.
Entrevista with Tiffany Stratton:
A clip of the Wade Barrett interview with Tiffany Stratton was issued. Barrett asked why his interview with Charlotte got out of control. Stratton said he felt that Charlotte intimidated her, but that he gave her prove of her own medicine. He said he will not allow Charlotte to miss the respect and will leave Wrestlemania as a champion.
Rey Fenix, Rey Mysterio & Dragon Lee vs. Brutus Creed, Julius Creed & Chad Gable:
Rey Fenix, Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee defeated Brutus Creed, Julius Creed and Chad Gable Mysterio disappeared before the commercial cut and did not return, which generated concern. After the fight, Fenix and Lee immediately reviewed Mysterio, who was being treated by a coach while commenting that he could have been injured.
