Rob Van Dam was accompanied by Taz in the last episode of his podcast to pay tribute to Sabu, who unfortunately died last weekend.

During the episode, Van Dam revealed that the Forensic Office has not yet confirmed the official cause of death. One of the reasons for the delay, he said, is that Sabu was still legally married to his ex -wife, who has returned to live in his native Japan.

According to Van Dam, she has not signed certain necessary documents for research to advance and has decided not to get involved in the situation.

Van Dam also addressed some inaccuracies that have circulated on Sabu after his death:

  • His first name was Terry, not Terrance.
  • He was 61 years old, no 60.
  • He was born in Michigan, not in Staten Island, New York.

In addition, Van Dam rejected criticism aimed at Game Changer Wrestling and Joey Janela regarding Sabu's recent appearance in the ring, which some have suggested that he contributed to his death. Van Dam firmly refuted that statement, declaring that it had nothing to do with his death.

He shared that, after the fight, Sabu expressed his desire to compete once again and even proposed the idea of a fight without ropes with spikes against Van Dam.
