Roman Reigns has been out of the panorama of WWE's undisputed championship since he lost the title against Cody Rhodes in Wrestlemania 40. However, the OTC has said several times since his return that intends to recover the title. One of the possible scenarios could see Reigns capture the championship in The Showcase of the Immortals this year.

Reigns has been mostly absent from television since the beginning of the year and has fought in just two fights. He has not been involved in any rivalry since the culmination of his confrontation with only Sikoa at the premiere of RAW in Netflix, which raises the question of what awaits The Head of the Table in Wrestlemania 41.

Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes met in the last two editions of Wrestlemania, with the score currently in 1-1. Although the possibilities that the two complete the trilogy this year are minimal, there is a way in which it could happen after what happened in SmackDown.

The Rock apparently asked Cody Rhodes to sell his 'soul' and be 'his champion' last Friday. Although it is unlikely that The American Nightmare accepts the offer and will become Heel, the story could take a drastic turn with Roman Reigns returning and becoming the man of The Final Boss to take away the undisputed championship of WWE to Cody Rhodes.

Roman Reigns is currently out of WWE programming due to an injury

Roman Reigns was last seen in action in Royal Rumble, where he failed to win the fight of 30 men. The OTC was eliminated by CM Punk, who also eliminated Seth Rollins at the same time. This led to a brief interaction between the three in Ringside, with The Visionary delivering a brutal curbstomp to his former stable partner.

It was pointed out in the RAW after Royal Rumble that Reigns suffered an injury to the event and would be out of action for a while. The injury was a Kayfabe reason to get The Head of the Table from WWE programming, since it would not be working on elimination Chamber 2025.

Things could change in the next live premium event if Reigns appears after Cody Rhodes rejects The Rock's offer to be his champion. However, current plans for the OTC seem to indicate that it will face Seth Rollins and CM Punk in Wrestlemania 41.
