The free agents market became a little more busy last week when WWE released more than a dozen fighters, including outstanding names such as Shayna Baszler, Cora Jade, Braun Strowman, Eddy Thorpe, Dakota Kai, Kayden Carter and Katana Chance. They were barely released, fans began to speculate on what would be the next movement of these fighters and if any of them could end at AEW once they finish their non -competition clauses.
In the Wednesday edition of “Busted Open Radio”Dave Lagreca and Tommy Dreamer decided to ask a AEW talent, Rosa Thunder, who would like to see from this group of liberated to arrive at AEW. She did not hesitate at all with her answer.
“Shayna Baszler,” said Rosa. “I love Shayna. I have always loved her. And I think it's solid in everything she does. It's very good cutting promos, she has a lot of television experience. I think it would be great … I think we need more women in those factions of men. I think that contributes more to things. And there have been very few who have had the opportunity to do that, and I think Shayna would add a lot to that mixture.”
Lagreca mentioned some other names for Rosa to consider, including Jade, who had previously worked on “AEW Dark” fighting under the name of Elayna Black, and Damage Ctrl's exmiembro, Dakota Kai. Rosa seemed somewhat receptive to the idea that Jade joined, although he did not say it directly. However, when it came to Kai, it was quick to support it as a possible hiring.
“That is another, absolutely,” Rosa said. “Yeah.”
WWE's releases on May 2, 2025, which included 17 fighters such as Shayna Baszler, Cora Jade, Braun Strowman, Eddy Thorpe, Dakota Kai, Kayden Carter and Katana Chance, have generated a stir in the wrestling community, with speculation about their future, particularly in AEW. According to Fightful and Pwinsider, the talents of the main roster face 90 -day non -competition clauses, which means that they cannot sign with another promotion until the beginning of August 2025, while NXT's talents, such as Cora Jade and Eddy Thorpe, have 30 -day clauses, allowing them to potentially debut in June.
