On October 11, the Tocancipá Autodrome will once again be the scene of an important event for the duathlon in Colombia: Rude.

With tests that mix speed, strategy and resistance, and a logistics that converts the layout into a high performance circuit for amateur athletes, this event is not just a competition: “It is a character test.”

This was reported by the press team, which explained that more than 700 competition athletes and at least 4,000 attendees are expected, on a day that will test corridors, cyclists and triathletes throughout the country.

As detailed by the organization of the event, the clues will be enabled for challenges such as the 5K and 10K of the RUN segment, as well as the demanding TT Ride, a counterreloj by teams of 40 kilometers.

There will also be space for the standard DU in pairs, Du Sprint and Individual Standard, and the expected Ruder Challenge: a combination of tests that starts with the standard duathlon and culminates with an individual 30 -kilometer counterreloj. “Running in the temple of speed is no longer exclusive to engines,” said the organization.

“Rude is more than distances or chronometers,” they said also. 78% of participants come from Bogotá, although the presence of Cundinamarca athletes, other regions of the country and a growing international quota is expected.

Most competitors are between 25 and 44 years old: a generation that, as the press team stressed, does not run by recognition, but by conviction. “Rude celebrates passion, discipline and collective effort in a technical, safe and professional environment.” Registrations are already open:
