The Government has spent months to rebuild the public discussion frameworks imposed by the opposition and, for the first time, in the Moncloa it is perceived that the screws have changed and that some air is finally taken. The historical protests in support of Palestine who managed to boycott the cycling return to Spain, and that the Executive has turned to support and exalt, offer Pedro Sánchez not only the opportunity to claim their foreign policy against the genocide perpetrated by Benjamin Netanyahu, but also to recover the initiative in front of a right in an increasingly uncomfortable situation for its explicit support to Israel.

In that context, and after the cascade of criticism of the Executive for the outcome of the cycling competition in Madrid this Sunday, Pedro Sánchez reaffirmed this Monday in his clear message of support to the Palestinian cause. “We always reject violence and feel a deep admiration for our athletes and cyclists. That is why their security was put in front of it. But we also feel a deep respect and admiration for a Spanish civil society that mobilizes against injustice and defends their idea peacefully,” he said before the socialist parliamentarians in Congress.

They are convinced in the PSOE that the strategy of the PP to try to criminalize and caricaturize some eminently peaceful civil disobedience actions are a political error that goes against the widespread feeling of Spanish public opinion. And that is why the president was arranged in his speech to play that asset that the opposition gives him and even go one step further in his speech to claim Israel's expulsion from any sports competition.

“Why did Russia be expelled and not Israel? Our position is clear: until barbarism, neither Russia nor Israel ceases to be in any more international competition. Israel cannot use any international platform to bleach their presence. Sports institutions must consider whether it is ethical to keep Israel in international competitions,” he demanded.

That was at noon on Monday. Just a few hours later, RTVE took the next step with Eurovision. As announced by the Spanish Television itself, the president of the Corporation will propose to the Board of Directors of the Public Corporate the withdrawal of Spain from the musical contest in case the European Radiodifusion Union keeps Israel. A step already taken in its day by the public televisions of Ireland, Netherlands, Slovenia and Iceland, and to which the Spanish is now added after the impact of protests in the cycling return.

In his speech at Congress, Pedro Sánchez came to put Spain as a moral reference of the entire European Union for the support shown to Palestine from the beginning of the offensive. “Having your own voice only uses something when you dare to defend something you think, not as a government, but as the social majority. We claim the right thing, which is to be on the side of the victims, not the aggressors. They told us that we were alone, but it was only that we were the first. His commercial agreement with Israel until the end of violence.

The evolution of the protests throughout the tour of the Cycling Tour to Spain, sporadic and minority at the beginning and widespread on Sunday in Madrid to the point of provoking the suspension of the race, has been accompanied by two very different political positions between the two great parties. On Sunday, even hours before the final stage, Pedro Sánchez proclaimed his “pride” in the first person for the demonstrations. “Pride of seeing a country as plural as ours, so diverse in the territorial, but that, however, we all agree on a fair cause such as human rights, so live human rights and live to the Spanish people,” he said in a rally in Malaga.

On the contrary to what has happened in the PP. This Monday, after Sánchez's intervention in Congress, he took the floor on Genoa Street after the National Board of Directors of the PP Alberto Núñez Feijóo. And he did it to attack hard against protests. “It is political violence to prevent a sports competition from ending. It is political violence to encourage sectarianism against all citizens,” said the leader of the opposition in line with the demonstrations of the mayor of the capital or of the Madrid president, who came to compare the boycott to the race with the “Sarajevo War.”

In the government they think that this speech on the right is lost in Spanish public opinion, widely sensitized with the Palestinian cause. “It seems to me an absolute overaction of the garments because the last cycling stage of the Tour of Spain, which by the way is usually the most boring, because it could not end and that Spain gave the world an image that as a country is good. It speaks well of our citizenship and our people,” said Oscar Puente in a TVE interview.

IMPULSE TO PROTECTED HOUSING

In his traditional speech before the PSOE Interparliamentary at the beginning of the course in Congress, Pedro Sánchez also announced that the Government will send the proposal of the National Housing Plan to the Autonomous Communities to reach 7,000 million euros of investment in the next five years. And insisted on the commitment that the Executive “will triple the money it transfers to make housing policy to all those autonomous communities that commit to invest the same.”

In that attempt to recover political resolve before the opposition's offensive, the president wanted to send a message of action in the main problem of citizenship according to the latest CIS barometer published this month of September. And he said that his executive will display new measures to facilitate the access of young people to protected housing before Inaction, he said, of the autonomous communities of the Popular Party.

Thus, he raised a new rental aid with a purchase of almost 30,000 euros “so that young people can reside for years in a house with permanent protection and end up acquiring it.” And new aid of up to 10,800 euros for the purchase of housing in the rural environment.

At the moment, government sources only clarify that the aid will be limited to young people up to 35 years and that will be included in the next state housing plan. In addition, in line with the latest housing policies, aimed at ensuring that the public money invested in this matter blings the park to perpetuity, the aid to purchase will be for official housing, which will maintain this qualification forever.

On the other hand, the President informed the Socialist Parliamentary Group that the Government will “implement the income of income for young people”, which was announced in January. In reality, that non -payment insurance will be transferred to the autonomous communities and, in practice, it is not a benefit, service or benefit for tenants, since it covers the home of the landlord. In any case, Sánchez has indicated that “it will serve to give more guarantees to owners and tenants.” The measure will enter into force in this period of sessions.
