The former WWE Sid Vicious fighter has died at age 63. Vicious, whose real name was Sid Eudy, was world champion on multiple occasions both in the WCW and the WWE. Gunnar Eudy, son of Sid Eudy, announced his death on social networks on Monday, August 26.
“In memory of my father, Sid Eudy. Dear friends and family, it saddens me to tell you that my father, Sid Eudy, died after fighting cancer for several years. He was a strong, kind and loving man, and we will miss his presence.
Eudy debuted in 1987 and became better known for his careers in the WCW, where he worked as Sid Vicious, and WWE, where he worked as a Justice and Sycho Sid. He would head the Wrestlemania VIII 1992 and Wrestlemania XIII poster in 1997, where he lost to Hulk Hogan and Undertaker respectively, and the last WCW Starrcade in 2000, where he lost a fight for the worldwide title of the WCW against Scott Steiner.
Eudy's career ended largely in 2001, when he suffered a leg fracture while fighting Steiner, although he would then return to the ring for a handful of fighting between 2004 and 2012. His last fight took place in August 2017, in an independent show in Canada.
Sid Vicious said about why he was not part of the wwe hall of fame
During an interview with Atitude was Podcast last July, the former WWE star “Psycho” Sid Vicious commented why it has not been included in the WWE Hall of Fame …
“One would think that they would offer it to me. Once again, to Vince (McMahon) he did not like him so much; I think that is why they have not offered it to me. But, now that Vince is gone, one would think that these people would say: 'Hey, this boy, we still have it under contract. He is still earning a little money. He would help him if we did it', and he would also help them.
One would think they would like to do everything possible to promote something like that. It could also be something fun to start. If I return, you may want to do something like a part -time contract, (be) manager or something special. I think it was also quite good in the interviews. There are always many people who have difficulty with that. If I could teach them, maybe I could help them do their interviews. ”
