The spokesperson for the PP of Andalusia in Parliament, Toni Martín, has described as an “absolute failure of the left-wing parties and the unions” the rally called by Amama Sevilla at the San Telmo Palace in the Andalusian capital in the face of the errors revealed in the early detection program, which have caused delays in carrying out diagnostic tests against breast cancer. About 8,500 people attended the protest according to the National Police, 30,000 according to the CCOO union.

In statements to the media, Martín has estimated that the concentration “to attack Juanma Moreno”, in which “buses have been paid with public money for him to attend”, and has estimated the number of attendees to be “ten times less than those who went to the demonstrations against healthcare” in the times when the PSOE governed in Andalusia.

In line, he has indicated that the parties that have joined the rally “are attacking public health and professionals and using women,” through “unreal figures” of attendance at the rally called by Amama Sevilla. The spokesperson concluded by pointing out that public health in Andalusia “has more budget than ever,” more professionals than ever and is much better than in the days of the Socialist Party.”

“Respect” for professionals

The Andalusian Minister of Justice, for his part, has requested “respect” for Andalusian healthcare workerssince he considers that with criticism of the Government the entire public health system is being attacked. Along the way, he has sent Amama the message that “we gain more by sitting together than by demonstrating.”
