From this weekend Barranquilla will become the epicenter of youth chess. Everything is ready for the realization of the U-16 World Olympiad, a historical event that, for the first time in its three decades of existence, will be held in South America. Organized by the International Chess Federation (FIDE) and the Colombian Chess Federation (FECODAZ), the event will bring together more than a hundred teams from 46 countries, with the participation of about 70 foreign and 30 Colombian delegations.
