No weekend is more important for WWE than Wrestlemania, and this year was no different, since each fight at night 1 of Wrestlemania 41 would establish the standard for how WWE will be in the future.
Jey use finally demonstrated her worth when making Gunther after a splash use series and a Sleepper Hold.
The New Day captured the World Couples Championships of The War Raiders, while Jade Cargill obtained a necessary revenge against Naomi.
Jacob Fatu defeated the Knight to win the United States championship, before the great American ruined King Fenix's debut in Wrestlemania with traps.
Tiffany Stratton exceeded the best efforts of a Charlotte Flair personally motivated to retain the WWE women's championship. And Seth Rollins defeated Roman Reigns and CM Punk with the help of Paul Heyman in a surprising turn.
Keep here to know the best and worst Booking decisions and results of Wrestlemania 41 night.
Worse: Jey use by rendering Gunther
All indications suggested that Jey would use Gunther to capture the World Heavyweight World Championship in Wrestlemania.
The 39 -year -old fighter is immensely popular, with many in the crowd in the Allegiant Stadium of Las Vegas, clearly supporting it on any other in the show shows.
This was the decisive moment in the ring for use, and looked like when it entered. He delivered a decent fight against one of the best in the world.
This is not a reason to get away from the popularity of use, but WWE made a decision with the end that could do more damage than well.
After fighting a basic fight in which he tried to follow Gunher, he applied a SleEper to force surrender.
The general ring surrendered immediately to a movement that I used had not used before and that executed badly. This made Gunther seem weak.
This leaves the most vulnerable Austrian star in the ring of what has been in his career, and mystical remains to a possible rematch with such a definitive result. At least, the end for surrender should have been saved for revenge.
Worse: Put War Raiders vs. New Day on the 'Mania billboard instead of Street Profits
If the definitive argument for whom it enters the Wrestlemania billboard is whether the crowd reacts to them, War Raiders vs. The New Day was not right to be.
With almost no story behind the angle beyond the consequences of the Heel of Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods in December, the public did not react to action.
New Day is still one of the best teams in WWE's history, while Erik and Ivar have done what they have been able to with the limited focus they have been given.
However, this story simply did not work in this scenario. Considering how loaded Wwe's roster is, there is no reason to fill in this billboard.
The best option for 'Mania would have been the fight announced for the next SmackDown: Street Profits vs. #Diy vs. Motor City Machine Guns in a TLC fight.
This fight for WWE couples championships has had a better construction in recent months, and the crowd is more involved according to the reactions.
The stipulation would also have allowed SmackDown's division of couples to stand out among others.
The New Day holder had barely impact compared to what Montez Ford could have flown from a ladder.
Better: Jade Cargill wins cleanly
Wrestlemania 41 presented Jade Cargill the most important focus of his career. This was the opportunity to turn it into a future contender to the title, and a victory helped her on that path.
While Naomi has grown well in his heel role, he didn't need to win on Saturday. He is twice women's champion of SmackDown and couples champion. It has incorporated credibility.
The Storm showed that he could not only compete with a multiple champion, but he could also win big. This was a dominant exhibition for Cargill.
The fight itself was fine, although not at the level of 'Mania. It will depend on Cargill to demonstrate during the next year why you should continue to receive spotlights like this.
Better: Jacob Fatu wins gold in Wrestlemania
When Jacob Fatu debuted in the June 21, 2024 edition of SmackDown, fans immediately felt attracted to him as a dangerous monster that could support his words with actions.
His athletics made him highlight even more, especially his impressive Monsault that helped him get victory in Wrestlemania over the Knight.
Although The Megastar is popular and a worthy champion in WWE, this was the time to go big with The Samoan Werewolf.
WWE did not miss that opportunity. Fatu took his chance and won the gold. This adds a narrative element necessary to make The Bloodline relevant again after Wrestlemania.
Only Sikoa will probably fight to deal with The Samoan Werewolf holding gold while he has nothing.
Meanwhile, Fatu can undertake a dominant career with the title of the United States that could be extended during the rest of the year, building its credibility further.
Worse: the great American beating Rey Fenix
Rey Fenix was not originally scheduled for Wrestlemania, but an injury to Rey Mysterio in SmackDown changed the combat approach.
The 619 teacher chose Fenix, trusting him to defend the wrestling of El Gran American.
On the night WWE announced that he had bought one of the main promotions in Mexico, a Gimmick Heel that parodies wrestling defeated one of the best fighters in the world a month after its incorporation into the company.
Even if Mysterio was originally scheduled to lose to the great, Fenix should not have been put in this position of losing to this gimmick so early in his career in WWE.
Although Fenix can certainly recover, building impulse as his brother, Penta, this was an opportunity to solidify the future of wrestling.
Instead, WWE redoubled in a gimmick that actively mocks wrestling as a concept while also subtracts Chad Gable's ability to stand out with his own name.
Better: Tiffany Stratton winning cleanly in an intense fight
Fans may never know how much Tiffany Stratton and Charlotte Flair really hate, but they sold it on the way to Wrestlemania and in the shows shows.
This was the type of combat that WWe does not deliver often: it was intense and very physical. And the champion could even have lost a tooth because of The Queen's blows.
Sometimes, it seemed that Flair could really be working against Stratton to make this fight work, but fought hard throughout the match.
In the end, the woman who left a Barbie showcase for her entrance left 'Mania wearing like a warrior.
Stratton needed not only to survive but also win cleanly, as he did. It is clearly consolidated as a first -level female champion, and will take time to establish someone ready to challenge her at this level.
Everything can happen in WWE, but this feels like a special moment of creation of stars for the 25 -year -old.
Better: Seth Rollins steals Paul Heyman
Seth Rollins came out with a flamethrower and a change of outfit in mind for its main event, but its true goal was to steal the focus of CM Punk and Roman Reigns.
He did it by defeating both The Best in the World and The OTC when his personal problems got out.
All Paul Heyman's drama needed to take something, and did it when The Visionary achieved a new robbery for a new century.
He convinced The Wise Man to betray both his tribal Chief and his best friend and help him defeat them for the good of the future of the business.
It was a great plot to sell the true bets of this main event. This fight changed Heyman's direction, a man who has created more world champions than any other manager in WWE.
WWE fans will discuss the ramifications of the star event on Saturday night long after the end of Wrestlemania 41.
