CIS Estimate – October 2025

CIS vote estimate (in % of the total valid vote)

The PSOE would once again be the leading political force if general elections were held today, according to the Center for Sociological Research (CIS), which in its October barometer sinks the PP and places it below 20% of the votes, in its worst result in recent months. The socialists would obtain 34.8% of the votes, 2.1 points higher than in September, which would allow the socialists to increase their advantage over the PP to 15 points, since those of Alberto Núñez Feijóo would be left with only 19.8% of the votes. Vox continues to grow and remains the third force with 17.7% of support, while Sumar continues to fall and remains with 7.7% and Podemos does not reach the 5% necessary to obtain parliamentary representation.

The Popular Party still has not made a comeback in the midst of its struggle with Vox for the most right-wing electorate. The CIS study was carried out between October 1 and 7, in the midst of controversy over the decision of the PP of Madrid to approve a motion in the capital's City Council that spoke of a non-existent “post-abortion syndrome” and that the debate on the voluntary interruption of pregnancy once again shook the foundations of the popular ones, where various positions regarding abortion traditionally coexist.
