The Civil guardian has successfully completed a new mission when dismantling Two criminal networks dedicated to the mass robbery of telephone wiring In northern Spain. Under the name of the 'Operation Santicoper'the authorities have completed the operation with eleven people arrested and six other investigated, all in the Cantabrian town of Castro Urdiales.
Thanks to the synchronization work of the different teams of the Civil Guard, More than 8,500 kilograms of copper have been recovered and avoid economic damage exceeding 500,000 euros. In addition, they have also managed to clarify 25 crimes that dragged these organizations.

The investigation and exploitation of the operation have been directed by the Judicial Police Team of the Civil Guard of Armunia (León) and, at the same time, judicially coordinated by the Court of Instruction number 2 of La Bañeza and the Court of Instruction number 4 of León.
