The wave of fires that has affects Spain for days does not give truce and continues to spread. The maximum concern is still focused especially in Castilla y León and in the province of Ourense, to which a fire in Jarilla (Cáceres) is added that remains uncontrolled. Spain requested a module with two high capacity tank aircraft of more than 5,500 liters each on Thursday night to combat fire extinction in “very difficult” situations that could be derived from adverse meteorology.
Castilla y León
One of the main foci is in Castilla y León, where there are at least 15 active fires –12 of them in the Leon province– And with more than 8,000 evacuated in León. There is also a deceased: Abel Ramos, a 35 -year -old man who participated as a volunteer in extinction work. 10 people have also been injured, four of them in critical condition.
The fires that worry most are those of Molezuelas, in Zamora; that of Resoba, in Palencia; and Yeres, in León. The latter is the fire that has completely devastated the Natural Space of Médulas. Zamora's is already the worst fire in the history of Spain since 1968, the year in which official statistics begin.

Six fires remain active in Galicia. Estremadura
In Extremadura it has affected the fire that originated in Toledo, in Navalmoralejo. Of the 3,250 total hectares that have burned, some 2,400 have been in Cáceres.
To the north of this province there is another active serious fire, in the town of Jarilla, which remains uncontrolled and, according to the first estimates, has already burned an area of more than 1,200 hectares. Castilla-La Mancha

Valencian Community
