The Permanent Commission of the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) has agreed to request the promoter of the disciplinary action to open a disciplinary file to Judge Manuel Ruiz de Lara, for several messages published in his social networks in which he insults the president of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, and his wife, Begoña Gómez, reports Eldiario.es sources of the government governing body. The decision has been agreed thanks to the votes of the progressive members to which the President Isabel Perelló has joined.
With this decision, the so -called 'hard core' of the CGPJ rejects the proposal made by the disciplinary authority, which proposed to archive open research and not open a file. The disciplinary authority maintained an informative diligence against the magistrate for a message that the judge had published on December 14 in his X account – before Twitter – and in which he accused the chief of the Executive of exercising the “coup” for “attacking the judges.” In addition, on December 28, Ruiz de Lara publicly disqualified his wife by calling her “Barbigoña.”
