John Cena and CM Punk met for the first time in just over three months at the RAW tonight after Money in the Bank 2025. The date of their final fight has been revealed.
This week at Raw, John Cena came out and went to R-Truth, declaring that he could never use his name and character to benefit. It was CM Punk, among all people, who surprisingly ended up facing the world champion 17 times.
CM Punk had a tense confrontation with his defining rival of his career and made his intentions clear. He wanted to take John Cena's undisputed title, despite knowing the corrupting powers of the World Championship. Although Punk wanted to do it at that time in Phoenix, John Cena said he would have to follow him to Saudi Arabia. Punk accepted the challenge for Night of Champions and said, “I accept.”
Of course, some might think of the irony of seeing Punk go to Saudi Arabia after expressing their opinions about the country years before his return to WWE.
Interestingly, in a live Instagram session recently, Punk said he doesn't hate the idea of going to Saudi Arabia.
The language that Supo used made it clear that this would be his final fight on June 28.
