The National Police went this Wednesday to the San Agustín school from Alicante to investigate bullying reported by a mother towards her son 12 years. The parent reported to the Police Station two weeks ago after notifying her from the educational center of the existence of a Instagram con mockery, insults and photos of the adolescent carried out inside the school. In addition to showing his “absolute rejection” towards “any form of bullying or school violence”, once the mother made the complaint public the day before, the center informed the parents that it had detected the account on the social network with offensive image and comments; as well as having met with different families, a protocol for “observation of the entire educational community”, the activation of the PREVI Plan for the prevention of coexistence, communication to the Educational Inspection and the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office “of all the events that occurred.” He also reported having maintained a meeting with the Minors Group of the National Police and having activated the National Police Master Plan to give talks on the proper use of social networks and bullying. However, did not specify any date to know when these measures were taken.
Likewise, the tablets that students have in class have been inspected by the educational center in recent days and after the mother's complaint, a surveillance that, according to the school, is carried out “systematically” by the teaching staff. During the review, they deny having found any image of the minor that could have been taken and later published on the social network where the reported account has already been deleted.
From the Department of Education They also assured INFORMACIÓN that they were informed of the case and added that the inspection “has taken measures by establishing a cyberbullying protocol” and that, in turn, the center has adopted “different measures to serve the community educational”. Among them, the “protection of the victim” stood out, through the assignment of “affective tutoring”, increased supervision and surveillance, and the generation of a support network.

They have been calling the teenager “gordo” for two years, according to the mother's testimony, which caused her son to frequently go to the bathroom to try to vomit. Given this, he accused the educational center of not having done enough because he alleged that it was “kids things”. The account, according to the complaint, was called “Sangua 78” and its profile photo had an image of “a chubby character”, depending on the affected person. A week after discovering the account, last Tuesday, the Alicante school opened the prevention plan in the face of a possible case of school violence indicated by the Department of Education, as confirmed by the Augustinian educational center, from where they added that they also met with “several families” of the boy's classmates and that a “emotional tutor” to accompany the minor.
The educational center has defended its management by having informed the mother of the existence of that Instagram profile with mockery of her son and having “encouraged” her to report the facts before the Police.
