Vicente Mompó, president of the Valencia Provincial Council, has once again incurred new contradictions and has assured exactly the opposite of what he declared as a witness.
Before the investigating judge of the dana case, Mompó assured on July 17 that he “did not feel” that the then councilor Salomé Pradas was “the one who directed that”, in reference to the meeting of the Integrated Operational Coordination Center (Cecopi). However, the president of the provincial institution states in an interview for a Spanish Television documentary that “in this case, the one who directed the emergency was her (Salomé Pradas), it was not the president,” Carlos Mazón.
Mompó's statement contradicts the main thesis of his witness statement before the judge. His appearance before the magistrate was also very striking due to the obvious contradictions with the first version expressed by the PP politician in an interview for the 'Salvados' program on La Sexta.
The interview with Vicente Mompó It is part of the documentary 'Cecopi, les hores crítiques', directed by journalists Sergi Moyano and Ana Galarza.
The president of the Valencia Provincial Council, when asked about Mazón's role in the decision-making on October 29, answers: “I'm talking to you about myself, when in the end you have to make decisions, and you have to consult them, then consult them. And if you can't consult them, you make the decisions.”
