The Rock says it will be at the premiere of WWE RAW in Netflix. On Sunday, Rock revealed in a publication on social networks that the show will dedicate to his grandfather, Peter Maivia, his grandmother, Lia Maivia, and his father, Rocky “Soulman” Johnson.
He wrote:
“In addition to having my three daughters, my title of Great Chief Samoan, Great Chief Seiuli, is one of the greatest honors of my life.
I gave my word and I committed myself to his highness the great chief Maleatoa Tunamafili II and with our people of Samoa that “I would leave behind my childhood customs” (well, I try) and I would carry my Samoana, Polynesian and black culture throughout the world with great respect, pride, kindness, manna, humility and warrior spirit.

It will be the first time that The Rock appears live in WWE programming from Bad Blood in Atlanta on October 5, 2024. It is not clear whether or not he will fight Wrestlemania this year. At one point, it was planned to fight Cody Rhodes in the event. However, recent reports indicate that Rhodes could fight John Cena in his place.
Dave Meltzer addressed rock participation in Wrestlemania 41 in The Wrestling Bulletin Observer on Friday :
“(Rhodes Vs. Cena) is not recorded in stone because whatever rock wants to do, I can probably do it. I know that people expect it to appear in the program in some way. As for the day long in the show, I even know people at the top that awaits it, but it is not something safe and one would think that the Netflix program of January 6 will start the season and show the letters.”
